Benefits of Wise Living
by Cynthia Jennings on April 22, 2020Each day we face unwanted challenges and uncertainties with the thought of how to minimize the stress associated with each dilemma. But we should want to do more than merely minimize stress and ward off unnecessary difficulties; we should also want to please God in every aspect of our lives.
As disciples of Jesus Christ our wisdom differs radically from worldly wisdom. The world’s wisdom centers around how people can please themselves and maximize every pleasure sometimes to the detriment of self and others. God’s wisdom isn’t unconcerned about our enjoying life. However, the beauty of God’s wisdom, if we put it into practice works in a very practical way allowing life to run more smoothly, thus mitigate the detriment to self and others.
Implementing God’s wisdom into our lives equips us with the necessary keys to please God in every aspect of our lives.
The following are a few wise living proverbs for women to live by:
Women who live wisely will experience security:
Wise women are confident because they know where their safe ground is and who’s their source. Wise women have no fear, because they learn to trust God thus, they have no need for anxiety. Wise women are confident that God is ALWAYS in control.
Women who live wisely look for guidance:
Wisdom isn’t so much something that God gives to us as something he does for us. God is always actively directing the lives of human beings. Yet it is only as we actively trust God and submit to His way that we can genuinely experience His guidance as a smooth path, one not filled with frustrating self-made detours.
Women who live wisely experience good living:
Good living does not equate to the absence of challenges. Good living consists of knowing who to turn to and trust in the midst of challenges. Good living consists of giving thanks in spite of and because of. Good living happens because we understand God’s providence and sovereignty.
Women who live wisely experience happiness:
If you’re an unhappy believer the problem isn’t the circumstance, it’s our interpretation of the circumstance and an interpretation that lacks wisdom. Even in unpleasant situations something good can always be extrapolated. Wise women know that lasting and deep happiness will never be found in circumstances but only in the wisdom found through Jesus Christ.
As women we are capable of doing some marvelous things. But how marvelous is it if the wisdom bestowed is not rooted in us through Jesus Christ guided by The Holy Spirit so that God can get all the glory?
